the correlation method was adopted. The data collection tool was standard questionnaires that were distributed
among all sport teachers (190 instructors) in Ahvaz. At the level of inferential statistics, the Pearson Correlation
Coefficient was used to analyze the relationship between organizational commitment and its micro-scales with
job performance; and the results showed that there is a significant relationship between organizational
commitment and job performance among sport teachers at high schools in Ahvaz at the level of p<0.01.
However, analysis of the three components of organizational commitment separately showed that among the
components of affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment, only affective
commitment has a significant relationship with job performance.

the writing skills of students who have the dependence field cognitive style and independence filed cognitive
style, and (3 ) finding out the use of three types of interaction models of cooperative learning and cognitive
styles in influencing writing skills.
This study is an experimental study with a 3×2 factorial design. Manipulations were performed on variables of
learning models. The experimental group was given special treatment on each cooperative learning model
namely Investigative Group, Accelerated Learning Team, and Role Playing. The experimental group consists of
students who have dependence and independene cognitive style . The population is the fifth grade students of
primary school in Kediri of 2012/2013 batch, while the samples are fifth grade students at 12 elementary

schools in the District Ngadiluwih, four elementary schools in District Badas , with the total of 368 students. The
data were taken with the two-stage technique of random sampling area. The data were collected by testing the
students’ writing skills, while the students’ cognitive style is determined by the type of cognitive style test. The
collected data were presented in the form of tables, graphs, and analyzed by two-way analysis of variance.
The conclusions of this study reveals that the writing skills of students who follow the group cooperative
learning model in the type of investigation group is better than the group of students who are learning in
Accelerated Learning Team and Role Playing, while the writing skills of students who follow the group
cooperative learning model type and Accelerated Learning Team and role playing are just the same. The writing
skills of students who have independence field cognitive style are better than the group of students who have
dependence field cognitive style . There was an interaction between the type of cooperative learning and
cognitive styles in influencing the writing skills. The interaction was shown to a group of students who have an
independence field cognitive style , the use of cooperative learning model type of investigation group is better
than the kind of Accelerated Learning Team or any type of Role Playing, whereas Accelerated Learning Team
gives the same result as type of Role Playing. In the group of students who have the dependence cognitive style ,
the three types of cooperative learning was just all good.

In the present scenario, Education in India is simply imparting knowledge of particular subject or making one fit
for success in their life without fulfilling his moral duties. Today most of the unsocial activities are being
committed by well-educated new generation. Literate and affluent people in our society are becoming more
prone to female foeticide because they can understand the notorious adverts for sonography clinics which are
practicing such a heinous violation. There is an urgent need to alter the demographic composition of India’s
population and to tackle this brutal form of violence against women.

The study investigated the effectiveness of Mentoring and Cognitive Restructuring in the modification of
adolescent aggression among selected Senior Secondary School students in Lagos State, Nigeria. The study
utilised survey research design to obtain the baseline data while the second phase was a Quasi-experimental pretest
post-test control group design. It was hypothesized that there would no significant difference in post
treatment aggression between adolescent students treated with Cognitive Restructuring and those exposed to
Mentoring. Through multistage sampling technique, a total of 420 adolescents were drawn from six senior
secondary schools in Lagos State, Nigeria and they provided baseline data for the study. However, the final
sample consisted of 94 (47 male and 47 female) adolescents identified as aggressive. Buss and Perry (1992)
Aggression Questionnaire, Rathus (1973) Assertiveness Schedule and Mynard and Joseph (2000)
Multidimensional Peer Victimisation Scale were adapted by the researcher and used to collect the relevant data
which were analysed using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) technique. The findings revealed that
Mentoring was more efficacious than Cognitive Restructuring in the modification of aggressiveness in
adolescent students. These findings were situated within the existing body of knowledge and their implications
for Counselling Education were discussed.
