Lexical Interference in the Dialects Spoken in the Area between the Danube and Dniester Rivers

The article focuses on the study of the Ukrainian and Russian dialects’ influence on the botanical lexis of the Romanian dialects spoken in the area between the Danube and Dniester rivers. The relevance of the research is caused by lack of scientific works in these direction. The research is based on the information independently collected according to the special programme. There are fixed floronomina borrowed from the Ukrainian and Russian dialects, it is presented their etymology.

Attitudes and Prerequisites for the Establishment of an Integrated Cultural Identity within Romanian-Bulgarian Cross-Border Region along the Danube River

Objectives: On the basis of the results from an empirical study this research aims at exploration of the prerequisites for the establishment of an integrated cultural identity within Romanian-Bulgarian Cross-Border Region along the Danube River (RBCBR). Prior Work: The paper is trying to prove the necessity of identity re-negotiation process within RBCBR. The theoretical background of the research is related to some of the most topical considerations in this scientific field. Approach: The research uses an interdisciplinary approach and combines the perspectives of regional studies, cross-cultural psychology and intercultural communication. A representative survey is the main instrument of the research. Results: Among the citizens of the RBCBR there exist favourable attitudes towards closer relations with their neighbours which can serve as a key element of the identity re-negotiation process within the region. Implications: The research results can be used by policy makers and regional authorities in the process of establishment of a new policy for territorial cooperation as well as by researchers in further development of this topic area. Value: the importance of the research is in its new approach towards the establishment of integrated regional identity as well as in the comparison of the Romanian and Bulgarian attitudes towards cooperation in the neighbourhood area.

The impregnation as lingual process is achieved historically in this country, but the strengthening the European influence on the one hand and the resistance of Russia to another, changes the contents of linguistic geography of this region.

Legal regulation of ethnic relations is not possible without critical learning and understanding of the history of colonization, peculiarities of the ethnic composition of each region, without the study of the peculiar features of those links which became firmly established after a long period of time and formed the basis of historical memory. Matrix representation of nonmaterial values gives an opportunity to describe in detail the structure of lexical meangings of axionouns, to distinguish the degree of their related semantics, to expose the functional character of semes forming definite structures within the framework of analyzed words, as well as the axiounits do the same in the lexico-semantic fields.

The state of geo-demographic situation in the Danube region, which is formed during this period is examined. Unfortunately, in recent time within the Danube Region geodemographic indicators have worsened (decreased natality, quickly began to grow on mortality rates), as a result is a population loss due to natural causes. Although the overall performance of geo-demographic process here is much better than in other administrative areas of the Odessa region, yet in the Danube region for the last years, they are characterized by negative values and the population here is also reduced mainly due to natural causes.

The article deals with a problem of the interference of the Romanian language on the grammar of the Ukrainian dialects of new formation spread in the multi-lingual and multi-dialectal area between the Danube and the Dniester rivers. The author establishes its character and classifies the results of interfering processes in the area. It is underlined that the research of the Ukrainian dialects in this continuum needs to be taken into account coordination with investigation of other languages in this region.
