This paper discuss the configuration, operation and power flow control strategies of a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) with back-to-back PWM converter for variable speed wind turbines. The mathematical model of the DFIG is taken as appropriate d-q reference frame and their performances are in terms of stator currents references tracking. In order to control the power flow of the network, this is synthesized using PI controller. The complete system is modeled and simulated in the MATLAB/Simulink environment in such a way that it can be suited for modeling of all types of induction generator configurations.

In this paper, the concept of folded topology and design methodology in terms of equations, criteria and procedures is presented for folded cascode operational amplifier which is to be used in switch capacitor sigma delta modulator. The design of folded cascode operational amplifier results in high gain and high unity gain bandwidth. The circuit performance has been simulated with ±10% voltage supply variations. A prototype of an operational amplifier has been built in 0.18μm CMOS process with 1V supply voltage. Further the results of folded cascode operational amplifier are compared with simple two stage operational amplifier and two stage cascode operational amplifier.

In this paper the design of multiband micro-strip patch antenna with ability of controlling the number of bands and operating frequency independently is designed. This paper is based on idea of multiband design[1],the results are far better in terms of various parameters like return loss, directivity, bandwidth etcetera which can be implemented practically to get better performance. The designs consist of a main radiating patch and four sub patches fed by a 50ohm micro-strip line. It is designed to generate up to five separate modes to cover the frequency range 0.9GHz to 3GHz for the operation of wireless applications which includes GSM,DCTS,UMTS,WLAN and WiMAX. The substrate slot are modified and various results are compared.

This paper presents an application of particle swarm optimization based algorithm is developed effectively to solve the multi objective optimal power flow problem i.e. minimization of cost of generation, minimization of voltage deviation, minimization voltage stability L-Index, minimization of total power loss and minimization of installation cost of SVC device by incorporating a set of constraints . Simulations for OPF are carried out on IEEE 30-bus test system without and with SVC FACTS device. It has been observed that proposed method provide acceptable solutions and found to be suitable for implementing in planning and operation of modern power systems.

In order to river organization operations different ways are used which are selected depending on river morphology pathway, climatic conditions, the impact on surrounding land, the design objectives and etc. Use of groins at the stabilization and consolidation of the river side and create a path for guiding the flow has many applications. Erosion and sedimentation around the groins is a function of several factors include the type of groin, surrounding flow pattern, geometry, the amount of sediment transported by water and engineering purposes. In this paper, flow pattern around the L-shaped groins perpendicular to the coast simulated as 3D. In this study, an impermeable L-shaped groin as non-submerged placed form 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 angles of river arc and in order to simulate the flow pattern and turbulence around the groin among available turbulence models in the software, K  two-equation turbulence model was used. Results showed that location of vortex erosion forming is around the area of maximum velocities and, finally the maximum erosion is around the spit of groin and by changing the position of groin in direction of arc different angles at the angles of 75 degrees and 90 degrees has maximum and minimum value respectively.

Fumigant toxicity of essential oils of Mentha pulegium L. on adults of Callosobruchus maculatus, Tribolium castaneum, Lasioderma serricorne and Sitophilus oryzae in laboratory conditions

The interest in the use of essential oils for insect pest control originates from the need for pesticide products with less negative environmental and health impact than highly effective synthetic pesticides. In the present study, fumigant toxicity of essential oil from Mentha pulegium was assessed on the adults of Callosobruchus maculatus, Tribolium castaneum, Lasioderma serricorne and Sitophilus oryzae. Experiment was carried out at 28 ± 2 °C and 65 ± 5% R. H. in 5 concentrations and 3 replications in 24 hour, under dark condition. The results demonstrated that mortality increased with the increase in concentration. The results indicated that the LC50 values at 24 h. after treatment were 97.3, 165.5, 419.2 and 12.7 μl/L air for adults of C. maculatus, T. castaneum, L. serricorne and S. oryzae, respectively. S. oryzae was more susceptible to M. pulegium than other pests. It was found that plant essential oil M. pulegium had high potential in controlling different stored pest.

The Investigation of Effect of Dividend Policies on Future Earnings in Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE)

The Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) is Iran’s largest stock exchange, which first opened in 1967. The most important advantage that Iran’s capital market has in comparison with other regional markets is that there are 37 industries directly involved in it. The aim of this research is to surveying the effect of dividend policies on future earnings in Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) using Panel Data approach for periods 2005-2011. Results showed that changes of earnings per share in future periods have a significant on stock return. Also findings confirmed that the companies are managing the profits and reported profits do not necessarily means the profitability of the stocks.

Crankshaft as a main element of internal combustion engines is under various, large, instantaneous and variable loads and this matter is difficult in design, modeling and increasing life time. In this research, the Samand engine Crankshaft is in stress analysis by the use of finite element method. For extracting of Crankshaft loading forces, is used by dynamic analysis of slider-crank mechanism with Adams/engine software. For the Crankshaft modeling and applying the boundary conditions, used the MSC/Patran software. For stress analysis of Crankshaft used the MSC/Nastran software.
